Facebook is the biggest networking site which allows users to share websites and pages in their newsfeed. As a blogger, you should grab this opportunity as this is a free service to have your blog shown to wider audience and in turn will bring traffic and popularity to your blog. Once your blog URL hit the Facebook newsfeed, it is available for other FB users for reading and some may click it for more info. But posts in FB newsfeed is shown in preview mode (only with the blog title and blog/page description and not the whole page content). So, it now requires your creativity to create catchy phrases that will attract FB users to click your shared link.
One way is to make have the status update inviting!
In addition to the status note, you can also edit the blog title and the description to make it more attractive but make sure that you won't deceive the users by posting descriptions different to what is actually found in your blog as this may result to readers avoiding your posts in the future.
To edit your Blog Title and Description:
1. Post the URL of your blog post in the status box and wait for Facebook to read it and give you the snippet. Note: Don't hit the POST button at this stage, just paste it.
2. If you only want the Post Title to appear and not your Blog Title or you want a different one, just hover over the title in FB until it turns yellow like the pic above and click it. The title will transform into an edit box where you can now edit the title as to your liking.
3. Next is hover your mouse to the blog description (below your blog url) and once it turns yellow, click it and an edit box will appear. Just edit the description into a catchy one!
4. Once you are satisfied with the content, it's now time to hit that POST button. Done!
FB users can also share what you have posted via their newsfeed and you can watch how your page views increase!
